Nathanial Peterson is the VP for Partnerships at the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics and Managing Partner of Burgeon Strategy, a funding consultancy for African startups.
In addition to this work, Nate is a Regional Behavioral Specialist at the Food & Agriculture Organization of the UN and advises agritech and market systems startups in Kenya and Nigeria. Nate completed his PhD in Behavioral Decision Research at Carnegie Mellon in 2015 and moved in Nairobi in 2017. In his spare time, he cycles, farms, invests in Kenyan MSMEs, and serves on a few social enterprise boards.
